They had a strong tournament, defeating Surf Select 9-5 and Albion Premier 8-1.IN semis they defeated Surf Academy 8-1, before facing Albion Premier again in the final and defeating them 8-1 to take home the Championship! _____________________________________
BARCA CANTERA BU8 COACH: CARLOS BAHENA ASST COACH: JOURNEY MARTINEZ TEAM MANAGER: JOY LADERA First tournament ever for Coach Carlos' boys turned out amazing with an undefeated effort to take their first ever championship in their debut! With victories over Del Mar Sharks (7-2), Albion (6-1), and SD Fusion (4-2), our boys moved into the semis to defeat Yalla 6-3. In the final, Barca once again dominated Albion 3-1 to take home the trophy! Great work boys and congrats to Coach Carlos on a job well done! _____________________________________
BARCA CANTERA BU11 COACH: JUAN MALFABON Coach Juan's Boys U11 squad went undefeated for the tournament, besting Pumas 9-3, EFC San Clemente 11-5, and Pumas UNAM 11-4. In the final, our boys got the job done against EFC San Clemente to take the Championship! Great start to the year boys! _____________________________________
Coach Juan split his Boys U11 team into two squads, one playing in U11 and one playing up in U12. The U12 squad, had a great run, defeating Liverpool 8-4, SandBlasters 6-3, and a draw with Aztecs 7-7, before winning a close one in overtime to the olders Hotspurs team in the final.
